Lisboa is just a short flight away. 1 - 3 hours from most European cities and 5 - 8 hours from North America. The Lisboa airport is centrally located only 15 min transfer to the city center and 30-45 minutes to all the other areas within our region. The Airport is served by all major airlines and with daily nonstop connections to all major European cities as well as the US, South America, Africa, Middle East and Asia.
Mild weather - our climate is never too hot in summer and lots of warm sunshine in winter. Lisboa is friendly, safe and tolerant by tradition.

ELECTRIC VOLTAGE
In Portugal the standard voltage is 230 V and the frequency is 50 Hz. The electric sockets adhere to European standards. When traveling from other Countries consider a combined power plug adapter/ voltage converter.

Lisboa is the capital of Portugal and the country’s biggest city. Located on the estuary of the Tagus river and on the European Atlantic Coast, Lisboa is the westernmost capital of Continental Europe.
LANGUAGE
Portugal’s official language is Portuguese. Derived from Latin roots, Portuguese is the third most spoken European language in the world, with around 250 million speakers. Besides Portuguese, English, Spanish and French are widely spoken.
LOCAL CURRENCY & PAYMENTS
The Euro is Portugal’s official currency, having been introduced in January 2002. In Portugal, payments can be made in cash, bank transfer, credit and debit cards.

Around 3 million people live in the region, with around 600 thousand living in the capital itself.

Portuguese culture is greatly influenced by religion. Although Catholicism predominates, other religions may be freely practised.
